Inspired by Handel, Mozart and Baroque Opera, Nicholas has no shortage of imagination. Captivated by his artistic vision we share his view of fantastic allegory. A recent graduate from Emily Carr University of Art and Design, Nicholas also studied at NSCAD and received early mentorship under Joe Collins, master painter of Dutch and Flemish portraiture in oils. Nicholas draws inspiration from theater, opera and music. “I view my paintings and drawings as a stage that presents imagery displayed to echo theatricality in art. Most of my portraits are testament to the repeated icon of the glamorous diva.”
