Victoria has been and continues to be home to some of the most brilliant Canadian artists. In 1971, the Limners incorporated as a society of 19 artists of diverse styles and media, bridging the gamut of subjects from figurative to pure abstraction. For 40 years, the Limners and associates have proven to be a powerhouse of inspiration and exceptional art enriching the cultural scene in Victoria, and bridging this community to the global art world. Pat Martin Bates, Maxwell Bates, Walter Dexter, Herbert Siebner, Richard Cicciamarra, Carole Sabiston and contemporaries including Jack Wise, Flemming Jorgensen, Michael Morris. |
